In moving our conference to land from the sea, we needed to set our standards high to continue to provide spectacular wine, dining, entertainment, and professional development. Of course, finding a destination with reasonable air also played into our decision.
After a tremendous search, The Venetian and The Palazzo came through with a program that will be more spectacular than you can imagine. All of this will be provided in the LEED® certified complex that is home to these two 5-star properties. Details are being firmed up at this time, but let us give you an idea of what is in store:
- Cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, and delectable dining options at some of The Venetian and The Palazzo’s select 30-plus world-class restaurants.
- Evenings of entertainment and informational sessions, etc.
- A 3-track program for professional development.
- A half-day marketplace.
Since the hosts are pulling out all stops to showcase what they have to offer, all activities will be on site. All Regular and Student Members will agree to write at least one article about one of their experiences. However, you will have so many angles, we hope you will want to cover more.
New for this conference: As part of our Excellence Awards Program, only members will be able to participate in the Excellence Award for Conference Article Contest. We will have one prize for the best published article and a runner up that covers one or more of your conference experiences. You’ll have until 11-30-2012 to submit the published article.
Our professional development program is going to be wide and varied, so there will be something for everyone.
We will be providing a more detailed program. However we wanted to get this out so some of you could take advantage of early registration. We only have a limited number of rooms, so early registration is highly recommended. Once we use our room block, we cannot guarantee prices will not increase. Currently, you will be getting approximately a $1,500+ value for much less of an investment.
We will be contacting other hotels to see what properties would like to provide post trip opportunities for our members. We will be providing that information to registrants.
Please read the Category Description Document before you fill out the application. That will insure you sign up for the right registration. We have a limited room block that we will increase as registrations fill. But, we never know when we will hit the maximum at the current rates. So, register early.
We will be putting up a more detailed version as soon as it is available.
