They say that nowhere in Greece can boast beaches like those of Halkidiki. The region has the perfect combination of that distinctive Greek light, unspoiled landscapes, colors and fragrances.

Halkidiki can boast an amazing 550km of coastline, featuring a thousand different beaches, some rocky and imposing, others offering an endless expanse of golden sand. The Blue Flags that Halkidiki is awarded each year are richly deserved. Mount Athos is the mountain and the eastern-most peninsula of Halkidiki – an UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to 20 Eastern Orthodox monasteries.

Halkidiki is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards; the air is rich with the scent of wild herbs and the bees produce sweet honey. The wine and the honey of Halkidiki were the favourite flavours of Aristotle, the great philosopher and Alexander the Great’s teacher who was born here.

In Halkidiki, the visitor enjoys all the delights of the Mediterranean cuisine viewing the amazing natural landscapes.

This trip includes airfare from European countries. It does not include air from the U.S. or Australasia. They will be happy to honor journalists from Europe based on your profile. There will be one U.S. board member who will fly to Europe at their expense to accompany trip. All members may apply. However air is from Europe only.

This will be a small media trip, but when you look at the itinerary below, you will love the variety and hopefully, those attending will provide enough coverage, so it will be repeated in another year.

Cut off date for Registration is December 31, 2012.
