Karsten Boone is a freelance travel, food, and wine writer based out of Southern California. His articles focus on the personal impact of each destination, dining, and wine tasting experience. Karsten’s former career as a criminal defense attorney took him from rough and tumble Watts, Compton, and East Los Angeles to Beverly Hills and La Jolla. Communicating with people from every walk of life taught him that everyone and everyplace has their own backstory creating their current personalities and what they can bring to the table. Whether it’s the young Cordon Bleu chef making his mark in his community, the world class vintner bringing varied and subtle tastes and aromas from their grapes, or the history that shapes a city and its unique communities, Karsten finds a characteristic personal to each experience for his readers.
